this was our bug in 2019, with the 1641cc engine https://scontent-bru2-1.xx.fbcdn.net...WQ&oe=64E9F134 this was 2021 but still some struggles withe the 901 gearbox and the 2.8 type 4 combination https://scontent-bru2-1.xx.fbcdn.net...cw&oe=64E191C4 and this was this year on Clastres, finally without mechanic problems |
What struggles were you having with that 901 gearbox?

the problems with the gearbox, it wasn't only the gearbox, it was the gearbox and the combination of the used parts. - The 215mm flywheel dindn't have the bearing, so we got the flywheel machined and that was a problem solved - once the gearbox became hot, there was an oil leak. the modified nose (also previous owner) was leaking, and you don't want that on a racetrack, so we bought another nose, had to modify it a bit. another problem solved (we tought). But apparently the gears were damaged by the heat. So, another gearbox, the case from a 914 is the same, so... But we forget to change the breather hole (stupid, I know) so once you drive a few minutes in high revs, he throws out the oil. But for now it runs great. Maybe we'll be at Le Bug Show next weekend |
