Good question. I thought thats the way Id go
Genious and GLers
Can you guys post pics of mounts fabricated or bought (kersher style) what works best for road racing any info would be welcomed. Wolf |
I will post some pics as soon as I can borrow a friends digital camera. :)

Mounting the brackets at the frame horns would dramaticaly reduce the effectiveness of the bar. The mounts should be out as far as possible.

What about some 1" square tubing coming out from the torsion tubes.
Notched on the bottom and a plate of curved steel on the oposite side for the bushing to rest against. :) |
Good looking out Genious

I flipped my chassis upside down and installed the suspension and transmission so I can fab up the rear swaybar mounting. I should be able to knock it out today if all goes well. I will post pics as soon as a get my hands on my freinds digital camera. :)

i removed a set of the original brakets from a 944's torsion housing and I'm just going to weld it my 1302's torsion housing.

How tall are they from the torsion tube to the base of where the bushing sits. At what angle were they positioned coming off of the torsion tube. :)

Your the man..
Very interesting.. Looks like 1 inch square stock.. with some bent metal to accept the bushing.. Also you hooked up directly to the spring plate.. I guess no binding issues.. Looks good.. I am still a couple of weeks out from doing the install.. Still need to drop the engine, tranny, weld some body support and remove the body... :( For now doing the research.. and this is a doable option.. Thanks Alex |

BG,
Looks nice, I guess you have no clearancing issues? Also is that a grounding strap, that is sorta hanging there.. I am so jealous.. I had business and vacation trips this months and have not been able to work on the bug.. I did go to Brazil where I saw a lot of bugs.. So that is a viable source of parts.. :) But no GL down there:( Well I am off to the Glen, NY for some racing hopefully when I get back I can get to work.. Thanks for the pics ALex |
