...and to think I specifically didn't post pictures over there 'cuz I knew it wasn't their bag.

Rob May 17th 2004 11:25

Nothing like pissing off the vintage guys :D :D

Rob.

NO_H2O May 17th 2004 11:47

Sounds just like the Resto-Custom guys tryin' to bust on my Super(ior). But I have plenty of come backs for their 135 tire havin', Massey Ferguson front suspension drivin', non turnin', non stoppin' @$$es. If in won't turn or brake......It aint fast.

boygenius May 17th 2004 11:56

They are just jealous that your bus has about 4 X the power of theirs. If you ever see any of those "haters" at a car show when it is 95 degrees oustide and 100% humidity invite them inside for a break from the heat. :D A/C is a good thing...

The job you have done if more than fantastic, I don't know what the guys over at Samba.com are complaining for.

Miata, is that built by Mazda? if so I think it's called a MX5 here in the UK.

I might have to look for a pair :agree:

boygenius May 24th 2004 19:52

MX5 is the same as the Miata... :)

Panelfantastic May 24th 2004 22:03

I had to work on the ball that the top part pivots on to get the extreme angle I needed to make them work on the bus... just elongated the hole a little, once its back together you can't even tell. Did I mention they were cheap? :D

super vw May 25th 2004 00:28

WOW! i dont understand the stuck up responses from the other forums about your ride.... but thats life in our messed up society.

I personaly think that your pannel is THE COOLEST i have seen, i really like vintage performance, and yours takes it to a "new" level.

I have even taken an idea from your project to use on my 1303 project becuase i liked it so much (The use of NACA ducts for cooling).

More people need to keep an open mind about things... im sure your all that do know what i mean.

I give you props on your work man! Killer totaly killer... and will keep saying it ;)

Later,
Jonathan

Panelfantastic May 25th 2004 07:39

Thanks Jonathan!
The only thing about it that really bothered me was I didn't post my pics in that forum. Most of those guys are into restored, not custom, so I didn't try to show my stuff there. When I first read the topic and his opening comment, I started to jump on that guy with both feet! but they like that just as much as they do bad mouthing people's buses...

super vw May 25th 2004 09:57

Hmm yeah, maybe they really thought it was a bad thing to do to your bus, or maybe they just need sothing to bash and put down? i can tell you i know a lot of people that NEED somthing to put down or some one to blame...

Kinda funny though...being different is whats its all about man! Diversity is there biggest fear :O
