Hey folks, thought I would jump in. I too am building a mid-engined bug, a 54. It is similar to Hugo's but I'm using a 16V 1.8. Like him, I'm using the Audi A4 5 speed and Corvette C4 front suspenssion. The chassis is mocked up and I'm now working on suspension mounts and engine and trans mounts. I'll post some pics if anyone is interested. Check out some of the Audi transaxles like the A4, A6, 5000..... They are NOT transvers mount tranys so they work really good in this aplication and the gearing is killer.

Yeah, AWD is easy. It only took Audi a couple of years to figure it out! :laugh:
