You getting bumper inlays?
Where? |
Here is a fast mock up I did with the wheels painted yellow. I think the car looks great as it is, the inserts give a nice offset even without being painted. It would be sick if you got the inserts covered in a carbon fiber film, or even have them duplicated as carbon fiber.

yes, I have led tail lights, they are custom made but they looks smart in dark. The whole light is red when it's on. When breaking, the center is brighter, if i use the turn signal the upper quarter changes between light red and yellow. I'll do some pics and load them up. thnx again for the idea, really like it. the front screen is stock, it just seems like a tinted one |

hi everybody. One of my friend has made som HQ pics of the car, if anybody is interested in it, click here:
http://zeke99751.uw.hu/Photography/BogaraZo/index.html Some of my favourites:) http://zeke99751.uw.hu/Photography/B...BogaraZo04.jpg http://zeke99751.uw.hu/Photography/B...BogaraZo05.jpg http://zeke99751.uw.hu/Photography/B...BogaraZo13.jpg http://zeke99751.uw.hu/Photography/B...BogaraZo20.jpg http://zeke99751.uw.hu/Photography/B...BogaraZo21.jpg Actually I have a stock 1600 ccm type 1 in the back, because we are (re)building my type IV during this year. After the engine project I'm planning to change the rims and give a more agressive look to the car..we'll see |
Very nice car and good looking shots.
|
Very nice, thanks!

After the summer, I gave back the 1.6 type1, and continued working on my type4. Actually the block itself is ready with all the goodies inside. I have to install the cooling, the carbs, the ignition, the exhaust and the oil-cooling system..so there are things to do. Here are some specs of the engine:
It will be a 2056 ccm engine for my daily driver - Stock crankcshaft + polished conrods + lightened flywheel (fully balanced) - 96 mm AA Pistons - Porsche 914 heads (Jake Raby 44/36 valves, 9,5:1 compression) - Jake Raby Super Valvetrain kit (Cam, gear, springs, retainers, keepers, pushrods etc.) - Willibald manifolds - bosch el. ignition - Porsche cooling - 228 mm Clutch - B.A.S. Exhaust - B.A.S. linkage for carbs - New Weber 44 IDFs - EARLS AN fittings - the exhaust doesn't allow me to use my dry-sump pump, so I have to go with the 30mm Schadek :-/ Some pics: http://img.carstyling.hu/usercars/00...1216379482.jpg http://img.carstyling.hu/usercars/00...1216379465.jpg http://img.carstyling.hu/usercars/00...1205872453.jpg http://img.carstyling.hu/usercars/00...1200071070.jpg |
hi
very nice car and in in different level from the start As the front axles beetles are rariest in gl scene than macpherson ones iam sure you gone end with a top one! ;) |
An other big step.. they've arrived yesterday  I hope the gold face will match to the colour of the car..I'm not sure yet (will try them on next week)

What size are they? Bolt pattern? Pete |

I was looking for a non staggered set for a while, all of them are 7,5x17 ET38 (offset), 5x112 with 57,1 centre bore so made for VW, AUDI, Mercedes whatever.. Brake upgrade required, but trying to finish the engine first of all.. |
Hi,
some progress with the wheels: I was very disappointed that the original BBS gold didn't match the car at all..so I have decided to refurb the wheels and give them a custom paint job. Barrels got polished lips, centres became grey (with gold effect, very cool in sunshine) and still confused about the colour of the bolts. Actually this is the only picture uploaded, but more than nothing. You can see the BBS logo stamped in the wheel kept it's original colour, it looks sweet IMO. More pics to come http://img.carstyling.hu/usercars/00...1275384789.jpg |
Those should look sweet on the car. I would go with black lug bolts.
|
wow! progressing...day to day, congratulations!
