Hydraulic thrust bearing test setup.
First I made a bracket to mount the bearing in the gearbox

Setup an old master cylinder and tested the clutch.

I miss the weight of the car and power of the engine, but it seems to work just fine. 8)

Nice job on the slave cylinder mounting!

I see you have the good heads on the engine :-)

Small step. it's on wheels again (only two for now)
http://www.keversite.nl/fotoalbum/fotos/141136.jpg

Now it's on it's wheels I could adjust the height and found out that the coilovers where hitting the drive shafts. So back to the drawingboard:mad:

The fuel system is almost complete. this week I received the pumps, pumpbrackets and regulators. one set for the carb's and one set for the nitrous.http://www.keversite.nl/fotoalbum/fotos/141139.jpg

Paul.

Relocated the upper shockmounts. now the axles run free.

Played with the camber adjusters on the rear. i am happy for now.
http://www.keversite.nl/fotoalbum/fotos/141196.jpg

Difference before and after adjusting is around 2cm on the top side of the tire.

fahrvergnugen April 30th 2016 11:57

After the camber adjustment on the rearwheels I wasn't happy with the outcome and adjusters, so I'll make a new attempt..

Isn't that a bit drastic?
With the 944 parts and maybe some Elephant racing heim joints, there is ample camber adjustment possible.
I was amazed how much actually, now I could freely move the arms without the torsion bars hindering...(coil overs only like you have now also)

Steve C April 30th 2016 22:58

As you have cut that much away you do a similar mounting for the swing arm that 944s use, google some images and you will see what I'm getting at, you could even have different mounting heights for the pickup point

I wasn't happy with more than just the camber. Now I will make it more similar to a 944 like Steve C say's and probably mount a monoball. then all my problems should be solved:-)

piledriver May 6th 2016 22:27

I almost went there awhile back, and may still.

Might as well install some real height adjusters in the torsion while at it >;-)

Here was my inspiration for adjustable inner pivots
http://tr6.danielsonfamily.org/TrailingArmKit.htm

Would need some redesign for our use, but the large dia inner "crush tube" in the bushings should make it pretty sturdy.

Anyone offhand know the proper shock length with aluminum arms in a T1 or T3 with std upper mounts?
(T3s upper mounts are double shear BTW)
