CB 's Dry Sump Pump

A quick question for you GURU's out there in bug land, if I use the CB Dry Sump System in T4 would I have to do any clearing or is it just a bolt on? Any body has any problems with there CB Dry Sump Pump and what PSI does yours operate at / at what RPM??

The pump gears on mine in my T4 seems to score the alumium cover is this the norm or do it neeed some clearance? I pulled apart my pump to check for anything out of the normal and found mild scoring on pump cover.:(

Thanks in Advance

Chris, can i borrow this wheel? I'll replace it with a MOMO. Need to figure out seating position in the split, and adapter sizes for that Sparco wheel before i buy one. It'll be for 1 day.

No guru here, but I just happen to use the CB schadeck DS pump in my daily 412 which has a 914 2.0 engine installed.
Actually, the engine came with the pump and I didn't modify anything. Considering the things done to that engine I doubt the PO modified anything either.
Upon assembly/disassembly I noticed just the usual very slight scoring (=normal imo) on the alu cover. Yes, I just used/reinstalled the original Claude's Buggies alu cover it came with...
Don't have any pressure readings for you as I don't have a sender/gauge for that in the car, but it runs fine and I did some 10.000 km's already with it this way. Considering I also use the Pauter rockers on this engine, whch have 8x 1.0mm holes in the adjuster screws where the splash lubrication oil escapes, I'd say pressure in normal operation should probably be more then sufficient.
Sandeep used one as well on his turbo type 4 2.0 engine.

Hope this helps you some,
greets,
Walter

Thanks Wally for the reply, on the other post my results were very similar to Humbles and I will get the Tang clearance for the drive pin pump done. As far as the leaks from the CB Pump I had a very small drip from the cover of the pump. I used a very thin layer of regular black high temp. silicone sealant. If you want something that's going to hold for ever and have no sealing/leaking issues then try "The Right Stuff" I was told that it is the bomb.
