Hi

Those Hummers units are pricey. I was under the impression that HIDs didn't like to be switched on for short periods of time, that's why most cars only have HIDs on low beam.

Yes I have HID with hi/low.

I am taking from BMW 330i.

I put all in the unit. hi/low beam, turn signal (blue), side marker (amber)

But I have to cut the fender, for the projector.

is that liquid acrylic you used to flatten the headlight surface and to mount the projector?

I have also seen that Saleen sells an HID upgrade for about $899 for the new Ford Mustangs.

They are a 7" unit, but they are not sealed....I don't know if that is something that can be modified by putting a lense cover on the front.

I was trying to figure out if it could work...any one know anything about non sealed units and if they can be modified to work?

the actual light fixture and housing are separate pieces, so only the 7" unit will be used.

I worked with a good friend of mine on a setup for his oval. He designed the bezels and I machined them from 8" aluminum. He used Bora golf MK4 projectors with phillips ballasts and 4100k bulbs. All the goodies fit inside the headlight bucket, so you can keep the luggage area clean. The light cut-off is really clean and straight.

Absolutely! I love bullet turn signals on a bug already but that ride is extra nice.

The incorporation of the headlights is stunningly clean. Just beautiful.

will these fit on a 1303 79 vert?

if so, i plan to do HID projectors and black housing

I don't see why not. A 1303 'vert uses a seven-inch headlamp.

Demon Tweeks here in the UK do HID kits where the bulb fits any H4 lamp socket.

Hey Lanner, who's bus is that in the background?;)

I would be curious to see how the HIDs look down the road through the fluted lenses? I guess you're saying it has a decent pattern?
