one of the cleanest bug I've seen. :)

Thank you :)
No progress on stereo/wiring in the last couple of days....I've been finalising the fuel lines up front including the filter. All -8 braided lines and AN fittings used....so there is a filter between tank and pump, then another after main line before the regulator to minimise clogged jets in the carbs. http://www.netspot4u.com/~manxclub/a...ay27.sized.jpg http://www.netspot4u.com/~manxclub/a...ay27.sized.jpg |
Nothing too exciting to report again - just a nice pic of the paint and wheels :)

Wiring slowly continues - hopefully will have the new optima D34 this week. Rear apron went on - slowly but surely it is getting closer!

I will hopefully upload some videos of it running when it is on the road!
I pretuned the dual 40 dells (with cb performance update kit and ceramic coated manifolds) before bolting them up. http://www.netspot4u.com/~manxclub/a...Jun5.sized.jpg After struggling with the limited access to manifolds nuts for an hour and a half, I finally got them into position! Slowly but surely its getting closer. Dizzy is wired up along with oil pressure and temperatue sender. http://www.netspot4u.com/~manxclub/a...Jun5.sized.jpg |
The beetle went off to the trimmer this morning to have the canvas ragtop fitted along with the headliner and carpets....so it will be gone for a couple of weeks.
http://www.netspot4u.com/~manxclub/a...un11.sized.jpg The back seat was a bit fiddly to get back in with the rollcage in place but after about 20mins it got there! http://www.netspot4u.com/~manxclub/a...un11.sized.jpg |
Duuuuude..
that rear seat is sweet.. How much did the 40's run you? lookin sick.. Peace Troy |
The wheels look great!

Damn, damn, damn, damn, damn clean!!!!!
Scrumptious :agree: :agree: |
Stopped by the trimmer today and took a few pics. The canvas ragtop was on - he seemed pretty happy with the quality (from wolfsburgwest) - only two slots for support bows were in the wrong spot.
http://www.netspot4u.com/~manxclub/a...un23.sized.jpg Headliner is looking great as well - the vinyl was sent to Melbourne to be perforated to look the goods. http://www.netspot4u.com/~manxclub/a...un23.sized.jpg |
Car is home again - here are a few pics of the beetle - home once again.
The canvas ragtop turned out very well: http://www.netspot4u.com/~manxclub/a...un25.sized.jpg The trimmer did a great job on the headliner - its supposed to sag a little as there needs to be enough slack for when the top is open: http://www.netspot4u.com/~manxclub/a...un25.sized.jpg Aerial view... http://www.netspot4u.com/~manxclub/a...un25.sized.jpg Didn't have a huge choice in carpets but it turned out pretty well: http://www.netspot4u.com/~manxclub/a...un25.sized.jpg |
