so....we planned this event in June. not sure if it will be annual, but i think it should be. so what are we calling this?

fun run just sounds to usual. need something GL sounding. consider the main purpose is mountain running (btw, talked to jake and he is going to map a course for us that he runs all of the time), go-carting, eating and drinking.

i have given it little to no thought so i want to hear your ideas. the winner gets...the event named after whatever his entry is. :D and yes, i get to put in my choices too once i get some.

vkg uber Wochenende (big weekend)
vkg uber run

How about "race day" since that is what the whole weekend is pretty much about.


P.S. If all goes well all you car guys will be chasing me on my new bike. :D ;)

OK, I think we have gotten our moneys worth out of Man-Up.

i started to go there and came to the same conclusion. great tag line that has a long life, but not an event name.

not that i have come up with anything, but i think john is starting to lap people. :D

ok, i think we are getting somewhere. good job guys. i really like the idea of "Big Weekend" a.k.a. "Großes Wochenende" (since there are several events that we are tying together). i also like "Mountain Run" a.k.a "Berglauf" (since that is the primary event). although i like the idea of "Race Day" (renentag or renen sie tag), since go-carting is the only real racing we will be doing i would rather save the name for when we can put on a real autocross event.

so i want to throw out a vote for the top 2. i like the idea of using the German translations. good thoughts. take your pick. i will see if i can make some time to throw some artwork together and put it up on our store in case you care to buy anything. there are too few of us to make it feasible to get real silkscreened shirts made up with the limited funds we have at the moment (just bought membership tags for us) and with the same few people i do not want to seek sponsorship for it (save that for the bigger stuff in the plans).

sorry to ramble. i will start a thread for the voting process.
