Hello everybody
Greetings everyone. Finally registered here and figured I should introduce myself to the masses. My name is Mark and I have a Beetle problem I also live in Northern Virginia. I have a 68 Swing axle Beetle that had started going down "The Samba" road then I realized "Hey, stock sucks". I can and do appreciate a stock resto but I dont want to drive one. Ive lurked around here when it was a .com but never signed up for some reason. Well heres what Im starting with;

I guess I will start a build thread. The plan* as of now 4 wheel disc 5X130,Lowered to non 4X4 status,5 speed (future),Some kind of interior (none at the present),Rims, Fenders widened, Needs better handling,(Future IRS conversion,A arm conversion). Still trying to figure out motor options of which I want to build leaning towards a turbo but need it to fit under the deck lid. Open to all ideas and suggestions. *The use of the word plan neither implies that their is a "plan", means one will be actually followed and or is subject to change at anytime for any reason. |
Looks like you've got a seriously good foundation, keep us posted and welcome!!!
