Excellent job!
You have gone an almost unpaved path with a turbo'd wbx. Very daring and from an engineering point of view very interesting!
What is the power output and how is the engine holding up? (how many miles already?, (water) temps?)
Good luck!
Walter

Hi

When I had it dynoed the wastegate was not shutting properly and the injectors maxed out and it ony made 128 hp, I was very disappointed with this. I have not yet changed the injectors but i have tidied up other things, fixed the wastegate and made the exhaust less restrictive. I have some Mercedes injectors to be fitted but Im concentrating on other things at the moment so I hope to get things more sorted early next year. I have had a few encounters with WRXs and R33 Skylines and I clearly came out the winner so it must be making more than 128 now.

The motor has been in the car since 1988 but only ran IDAs & 10.5 comp until 2001. The motor has done about 100,000 ks and has only used 2 water pumps and the odd coolant hose in that time, I use VW coolant with distilled water and I dont have any corrosion problems. The oil temp stays around 100 c and water temp around 95 c in very hot weather that we have in Sydney, sometimes over 40 c in summer.
