riviera wheels?

ok so are riviera wheels allowed? i re-read the rules and theres the porsche 15" wheels, which would include these wheels right? didnt they ORIGINALLY come on a porsche? just wondering... think of getting rid of my new jetta wheels! and thought about some riviera wheels would be nice. anyone got some for sale?

 :puke:

you can do better than that! they are OK, but just really do nothing for a statement or excitement area, MHO of course. get some 2.0l at least if you are going to stick with 4-lug.

yeah, but its only temp... come on now... you know what i really want, but it doesnt seem sensable to spend cash on something that wont be on my car to long anyways, maybe a year at best!

I think that rivieras were just an aftermarket wheel that lots of people put on 914's.

I thought it was a rare option for the early 914's.

I have a set of riviera's for sale that need to be re-finished.

$80 plus shipping...

i would stick with what you have and save the money for what you really want to spend it on. but for the $80 bg wants, get 'em, put some elbow grease into it and paint them yourself (all black).

i like that idea!! but what about painted silver? like the ones vw has now? my car is about the same blue for all the header boxes on this site! imagine that?!! so i think it will look good either way. ideas?

I did a set of the original Rivieras for my son's car, painted them with hammer paint all but the lip, looks like powdercoat.

boygenius May 13th 2004 21:48

I just measured them and they are only 4.5" wide. I thought they were all 5.5" wide. You measure the distance between the inside of the rim lips. Bead to bead right.
