996 rear disc brake problems!!

im looking for some advice,
i have got 996 rear brakes discs and calipers on all 4 corners of my bug, there all identical
Iv used them, as i have them , but now im wondering what m/c should i use ?
as if i use a bugT1 m/c i dont think it will have enough fluid to fill all the brakes and problely have too much travel,
i dont mind using a proportioning valve but what m/c???
thanks
Marco the Turbo Steam Engine.

Hello Marco!

Well, original 17mm bug M/C is not the ideal choice!
Your options are a lot including : 911,944 Kerscher and even from a Bay window non-servo assisted M/C 23 (!) mm is very good choice

Good luck with your car!

P.S. I would love to see some photos from your engine ;

Hi Marco, Russ and another friend of mine are both using stock M/c's with Porsche brakes with no ill effects tho Maybe they would be better with a bigger cyl.
Are you using a full set of 993 calipers? i.e fronts and rears as the rears have a different sized pair of pistons

im using four 996 rear discs and cailpers! i know its strange but thats what i had.
they have 1 small and 1 big piston on each side of the cailper.

Marco,

Some front calipers has all the pistons of the same size and other have two different sizes per side in a diagonal order (like rears)
Tomorrow I'll check some front monoblocks and I let you know...
