What kind of wheel clearance do you have front and rear?

What is the offset and tire size used on the Boxster wheel?

Has wheel movement been hindered in any way?

It appears from the pictures that there isn't alot of room between the rear tires and the fenders...how much rubbing is there (notice I didn't ask if there was rubbing, only how much :D )

If you used narrowed rear trailing arms, would it improve the clearance on the outboard side of the tire while still maintaining clearance on the inside edge?

Nice looking Ghia!

What kind of wheel clearance do you have front and rear?
( I had to add a spacer to bring the front wheel out, it was hitting the shock tower, the rears I did nothing with, they are stock 944 steel arms)

What is the offset and tire size used on the Boxster wheel?
(they are 205x45x17 and a ET52 offset, stock Boxster, I can double check though)

Has wheel movement been hindered in any way?
(Not that I can tell so far)

It appears from the pictures that there isn't alot of room between the rear tires and the fenders...how much rubbing is there (notice I didn't ask if there was rubbing, only how much )
(No,there isnt a lot of room, about a flat fingers width between the tire and the fender is all I have)

If you used narrowed rear trailing arms, would it improve the clearance on the outboard side of the tire while still maintaining clearance on the inside edge?
(There's not a lot of room to play with in there either, Ill can send you some more pics later on)

Thanks
Chris

Sorry Guys,
Got side tracked today, the fuel pump took a dump, so I was busy trying to find one but nothing here in Germany even came close to my WALBRO pump.

I'll try harder next week, if you like I can send them to your privet emails?
Cause some of the pics that I do have are way to large for here.

Chris

Which Koni shocks (part number for ordering if you please) are you using front and rear? Also, do you have any pics of your Ghia from the rear? I'd like to see it's stance from another angle. I'm considering a set of Cup IIs and would like a better idea of how they look on the Ghia.

Thanks

Any progress here?

Jason

sure is

Its on the road (persay) been runnng up and down the back streets here in Germany getting all the bugs worked out.
Better here than when I take it through inspection.

Was out last weekend, blew the valve cover gaskets on both sides.
I built the motor with the help of my friend Martin, you might remember him, he had the convertable eggplant color bug that was blowing flames and pushing way over 300 ps.
Pics of his bug are posted here.

The Tranny is from Martin Bott and its great to say the least.
I've tried shifting at 6.5 on the gears, they are holding dead fast.

I do have some problems with the 44 webers, cant get them tuned just right.

New pics would be great!

levi20AE November 29th 2006 01:19

70ghia, any updates?

70Ghia January 6th 2008 15:44

I think the title says it all

Sorry guys I have been out of the loop for a while.
Started working down here in Colombia South America for the past 5 months.
The car is being stored with my folks in Sequim WA. It's going to get a color change and have the motor re-freshed, just some things were to wild for it, like the cam (wont idle below 1200 rpm), I got it running before I left Germany and I took it out for a spin, its a beast but I had to cut the ride short (no seat belts and tags- the German police really look down on that thing :D )
