ratio's for "all around" 4 speed
 

When I get around to buying a trans for my 72 I want to have fairly close ratio's for acceleration but also want to be able to cruise on the freeway w/o tachin' like 6 grand !!! Any suggestions on where to go or an idea of gear ratios ???

Imusing 3.88 final drive ratio Albins ratio gears, 3.55 1st (taller), 2.00 2nd (taller), 1.30 3rd (lower) and 4th is also an Albins gear but is the standard .93 ratio. So I have actually moved the bottom gears up so to speak. It aint a freeway flyer but our maximum speed limit is only 110 kph.
