Silver Bullet Dash
Hi, I've been looking for a 1303 dash. Everybody saying, they no longer make them. Although I have seen some German companies restoring convertibles, having new dashs. To day Silver Bullets car was on members rides, and that just what I'm talking about. It say custom, my question is to what point is it custom. I have veiwed all of his posts, but nothing on his dash. Can anyone contact him or know just how much was custom. I know custom means custom made, but I'm hoping mods to.

this are the dashs from Memminger cabrio..
http://www.feine-cabrios.com/cms/fro...ang=1&client=1 and this is the dash from Kerscher.. http://www.kerscher-tuning.de/kaefer...Armaturenbrett |
Ok
Dirk so how do I go about ordering one. Not Kerscher, but the other one. I e-mailed them 2 time, no response. So there is not one making a 914 type dash for a 1303?, if not then the stock one will do fine, but new of course.
Is it possible for you to contact them for me, I don't know what the hang up is about shipping to the US  |
an few years ago there was one person who advertised on www.bugnet.de with dashs for 1303 with 3 Porsche gauges. But now i don't see that advertise anymore. I will search a little bit if i can find that back.

I have found the old advertisement from the man who made the beautifull dashs with the 3 914 gauges. and i have phoned him. He is already stopped with making them for more then 5 years ( new house, wife and children)..but if you want.........he will make one for you!!!!!!!
|
Yes
Dirk, yes I would like him to make one for me. However, I have found in my past not asking the how much question, tends to fit me in the rear. So would you ask his price?
|
Hello Effvee, the dash used to be an old dash but was grafted with the 914 guage plate and the sides were moulded to be as close as the original dash. The finishing material is almost or same as factory and its is done professionally in New Zealand and not leather sewing. It did cost me abit.
|
Ah yes
Hi, do you have any close up pictures? Also how much is a bit? If you don't wnat to say on this post, PM. There is no way my current dash will do. I just love the 914/1303 look more that the CSP last option for me. So please let me know pricing, if they still do it, and if you have any close up pictures.

Haha....that 3 914 gauge dash is the one I put in my Super in Germany about 13-14 years ago. My friend bought my Super and it is still sitting his garage unfinished.

If you are looking for the stock style, Al Knock interiors in Texas makes a very nice reproduction piece. The take original factory dash, strip, the plastic padding off of it, and recover it with a modern rubberized coating similar to a new car. When I bought mine they charged $150 to use your core or $400 to use scrap yard pieces that they have. The CSP dash is a fiberglass piece, but it very good quality. It is very smooth on both sides. |
Thank you
Hi, thank you, I am having one made at present. I really want one like the 914 three gauge dash, just like the one Dirk's friend can do. However, if it pans out, due to shiping costl; it would be nice to have a back up plan. Do you have there number? Also where in Texas, I may be going to the Dallas area with in the next 2 months.

1-800-880-8080 Or 1-866-AlKnoch
They are based in Canutillo, Texas Here is their web address: http://www.alknochinteriors.com/ |
Alright
Hi, thanks for the info. Dirk was good enough to make contact with a person that does the mods; so far it's a go. When I get the dash, it will be bare by my request. I think Silver Bullet showed a rubberized modern dash, man I just love the look. So if the person in Texas can do the project, all the better. I may mod in three gauges, from a pod they sell for the "A" pillar on modern cars. I like to look over slightly and see the gaugesm, they won't be in the frontal area. After I do the mods, I'll have the business in Texas work there magic.
Thanks again Francell aka effvee |

Hi
That looks like a really nice dash. How is the gauge visibility with a small steering wheel? Steve |
