Pictures of coolant line routing
Hello all,
I'd like to see some examples of coolant line routing from those running watercooled engines in their GL projects. |
Hi
This is my old 1302, the main lines follow the heater channels bolts and are held by brackets attached to the heater channel bolts. Steve http://www.clubvw.org.au/images/1302_pipe.2.jpg http://www.clubvw.org.au/images/1302_pipe.1.jpg |

I just cut a small slot at the base of the pan with a Dremel cut off, then threaded the clamp through, around the tubing, then tightened it up after adding some rubber tubing behind it to prevent chafing. http://images.thesamba.com/vw/gallery/pix/266772.jpg This was just a temp bracket... http://images.thesamba.com/vw/gallery/pix/266770.jpg Jason |
My ghetto install:
Straigh pipes running under the car: http://www.vanbran.com/bug/images/co...1/pipes3_l.jpg Link the pipes to the motor: http://www.vanbran.com/bug/images/co...r_pipes1_l.jpg Flexhose linking the main pipes to the engine: http://www.vanbran.com/bug/images/co...r_pipes2_l.jpg Here you see that my header is still lower than the pipes. Haven't hit anything (yet): http://www.vanbran.com/bug/images/co...1/pipes2_l.jpg Side view: http://www.vanbran.com/bug/images/co...1/pipes1_l.jpg Radiator: http://www.vanbran.com/bug/images/co...ad_fit_4_l.jpg Rob. |
