I really hate that you brought this vehicle up. I've got a pretty good collection of pictures of it and have asked the same question to get more inside dirt on the vehicle suspension setup and wheel / tire size.

Awesome car.

Keep bumping, guys on here know. I know that it hit the wall a few years ago, but it may have been rebuilt, it's amazing.

I remember it being featured in Volksworld quite a few years ago. I also saw some pics on here (I think) of it on a trailer after having an off and wrecking the front end at a track day..

seems like this thing was in a vw mag a while back... could have been so far back as the trends.

Ask Wally - he may know the guy who owns it

dave forder January 14th 2012 16:31

This bug is amazing. Definitely in my all time top 3 German lookers. I saw it at Spa a few years ago and was well impressed with the one off custom touches like the pedal assembly, the deck lid ali hinges with struts, the 17" split fuch, big barking type 4 engine....the list goes on. Top quality car - shame it hit the wall at Spa that year. Hope he does rebuild it (I have heard that he is).

This car is a big inspiration for my project.

Im sure he is Karl-hienz-lang, not sure if spelt correctly:confused: often spoken to him at Spa, Daves right he had a slight fo-par at Spa, got a piece of front wing as a momento of the day, it is an awsome car, very well built and yes been on the seen for at least 10 + years, he also has a very nice red 03.
Nice guy, hope to see him at Spa this year:) he still has this car.
Cheers.
Dan.

Did he rebuild it? I hope so!

In this thread, there are some pictures of the crashed car :( : Link to Spa 2006 picture thread

The damage looks fixable.

Hi! What information are specifically looking for? It is one of the most famous German Look cars of all times! I think it had been featured on all European magazines. It was featured on 1998 VW Speed magazine.
It states it is a 1974. It have a 2.9 liter engine with 200hp at 6,600rpm and 290Nm at 5,400rpm.
82mm crankshaft
105 cilinders
914 heads with 49 intake and 44 exhaust
48 IDA
Wheels are Fuch 16x7 and 16x8 ET23
I do not read German but I am sure it had been featured on a English magazine. If I found it I will give all information posible.
Hope it helps!
