Type IV engine
 

Hi everyone, question, my project will have the 911 fan.
There was a member that runs an extra sump on his type iv engine. I noted, with fear and trepidation for him, as to possibly road debris,causing major engine damage. On my project I will also run an 3.5 extra sump.

So here's my question, having an height issue due to the 911 fan, do you think it's possible to raise my engine two inches in order to address the extra sump dimensions? I know there will be a CV-joint issue, but with a good 936 cv joint that problem can be addressed.

if the motor goes up, then the transmission will go up also (or don't lower the dub...)
then it's a matter of making sure you can get everything in to fit into the tighter confines of the engine bay and ceiling height of the rear luggage area.

Yes, great points I had not thought about my engine being a three liters. I'm going to have to consider its width wise, in engine bay areas as it is. I will have to rethink this.
