Lee...
What seats are going on that pan? I have the later mounts too but I'm worried that it will mean a seat (bucket/porkie/or similar) will be too high. I'm considering removing the "hump" and welding in a couple of crossbars to bolt a seat runner to. thx. |

Thx Lee.
My brother used 924 seats on 3-point bases and had to cut'n'shut a lot to mount them low enough. I guess a bucket is a bit easier (bolts to the side on yours?) I'd appreciate a photo of the adapted bases/runners if you have one. cheers. |

:)
That's perfect, just what I was looking for. Gives me some confidence that I can make the stock runners work. Thanks :goodjob: |
On our '03 I welded an inverted channel (n) down onto the seat hump and bolted the standard Alfa seat rails to that. The height with Alfa 116 seats is perfect for me but my wife has to use the spring seat raiser to lift it up for her comfy position - she's 5'4".
I take the view that anything used on the road should have a comfy seating position for the driver but the passenger can be down on thye floor if necessary. the driver needs maximum visibility to his instruments and the roads around him as well as being close enough to the wheel and gear lever for maximum control. Lee do you have any updates with the 02?

I love this model 51 split bug/03

Cant wait to see this thing finished, sort of squeemish cutting up the split, but the results will be amazing I'm sure.

I really like your projects so far, very well done and with your own individual touch. However, I think the split will be the best one.The 03 floorpan with the shorter wheelbase is something I had always thought about.I don't have the fab skills to make it happen though.Good luck and I'm really looking forward to following your updates!
