Yes. 71.5mm to be exact. All 944 hubs are the same wheel bore. I have 993 cups 2's on my 944NAs on my bus and everything is lovely. If they changed the wheel bore, they did it after the 993's. Also, are we sure it's a diameter problem and not a depth problem?

Well, since Lanner gave you the measurement... I don't have to jack up my car and remove a wheel to measure.(thanks Lanner :) )

one could maybe call it a depth problem. here's a picture of where it rubs:

so the bore is fine until it hits at that point, i guess.

maybe you could just mill the centering ring down a bit? My 993 cup II fit like a glove!, maybe the later car had a shorter centering ring.

BTW, a set of cheap dial calipers can't cost more than $10 at harbor freight, that way you can tell the machine shop exactly what you need milled off. Besides, they are so handy!

yeah, i don't have a harbor freight anywhere near me, but i'm going to try to pick up some when i get a free moment.

it appears that if i machine down the wheel center then the hub will stick through, but if i machine down the hub will have have an exposed bearing?
