With brakes that big, who needs wheels !!

Just run a bmx tire with a tube on the perimeter of the rotor and you're set !! :hehehe:

Now THAT'S "Hand of God" stopping power!

Well, thankfully the engine's in the back, so you won't flip the car on it's nose every time you stop!

AWESOME!!! But my goal is to keep my face OUT of the windshield. :D :D :D

Here's even more, a 10 piston caliper

What the heck would a 10 piston caliper be used for?! You could probably set up a single inboard disk brake setup for our cars with that thing!

deutschlooker April 18th 2003 02:03

actually TAROX makes a kit for the new MINI using that caliper

Ron Roberts April 18th 2003 10:45

I don't recall the mini having a really large caliper. It may be 10 pot for more efficiency. Those minis are pretty cool. I was talking to a BMW dealer who has coffee at my local stop every morning. He has one of his own. I was looking it over with him as he was telling me some things about it. He said they are not allowed to mark them up, so they put about $1K of extras on them and charge $5K for the extras. He said the price will be coming down on them. Also he said he gets 35mpg. The doors and stuff really have a good quality feel to them.

what i meant was that there was a big brake kit available through BMP designs that utilizes that caliper for the MINI

SilverBullet April 22nd 2003 17:47

I understand SSP is doing a 6 pot Tarox conversion for bugs!:)

judgie April 23rd 2003 06:57

if i remeber correct tarox do the 10 pot's on a toyota yaris, with 8's on the back.you are ment to be able to stop before you think about it with them on such a small car!!!!!maddnesss

If you could afford $5000 for front brakes just imagine what kind of engine would be in there. :goodness:
