what is the offset of the original vw wheels on my 72 super?
|
dunno bout supers, but standards had 15x4.5x38ET rims... type 3's had more offset.. supers may have had less, but i dunno bout that.. mike ghia was collating a load of info on stock rims before he vanished... havent spoken to him for a while though...

so anyone know of a calculator determining turning radius reduction for every unit (mm or inch) reduction of your steering bump stops? i am working out rim sizing and looks like for one option i am looking at i need to gain 7mm to keep the rims from rubbing and i will already be at the fender lip on the other side (and don't want to shorten the beam at this point). just curious how much that will impact my steering radius.
