Carbon Fiber Deck Lid
 

Joe can you do a carbon fiber decklid for late model beetles?

I like the Remmele ones, but I dont want vents in it nor do I want place for the licence plate either. I would like it completely smooth like the fiberglass one from Innovation in Fiberglass except for a place for the latch.

I'm not making lids just yet but when I do make decklids my molds will be completely smooth also.
The first decklid I make will be a eyebrow lid, I've been asked by allot of drag racers for those.
Do you want the carbon fiber decklid for the weight savings or for the looks???

Mostly the looks, but the weight saving wouldnt hurt either.
I want to keep the front weight as stock as possible, maybe increase it a little.
But the back I would really like to shave some weight off with carbon fenders, decklid etc.
