Lowering IRS - how many splines
 

I would like to lower the rear of my 72 Super approx. 1 1/2 - 2" and would like to know if anyone has an idea of how much movement per inner and outer spline. I have seen the posts on the "how to" and have the manuals to do it, but I could not find out how much each inner and outer spline is worth in adjustment..... any ideas?

i have a 72 super and took a spline out of the rear end. it came down a couple inches. it now look proper. the bumpstop is about 2 inches from its hard stop. i can't remember if it was the inner or outer (its been like 8 years).

a few people on this board have seen my car. maybe their input on this 1 spline deal?
