Stuff this in a bug

The motor for the 912-6 is 99% complete, still waiting on SS engine tin screws to show up from Mcmaster.com. Gonna try and have a motor install/cookout in a few weeks. I'll keep everyone informed on the dates.

Wouldn't that look sweet in the 71 speedster. 3.0, 200 hp baby! :D

so what kind of HP do you think you will be seeing? any idea how much the car will weight? can't wait to see it.

jhelgesen January 2nd 2004 01:03

I estimate the car to be around 2300 lbs, hope to get it less than that with a little dieting. Engine should be about 200hp with high compression euro pistons and some port and polish work. I may consider making a dynomax dual exhaust setup for the car and free up some bottom end torque, it may give a few hp, then I'll finish up with the the megasquirt EFI systems and get a few more.

John, how much does that weigh compared to a T1 or T4 motor?

NO_H2O January 2nd 2004 11:35

John, It looks like you need a big set of scales in the shop (drive-on). LOL :silly:

Motor install is planned for the 18th. Yetibone said he could come down to help, so he gets a big THANK YOU!!!! Everyone else is invited, but I know it would be a big trek. I'll get some pictures posted after the event.
