Formal introduction

Hello all, been a fan and a lurker for while now. Just bought my 3rd bug, but my 1st super beetle, with intentions of making a "german looker" (i use the term Pro-toured, same difference) Its a 73 model, silver and has a suprizingly thick steering wheel and well bolstered seats, that seem to be factory. I was told that it used to say "sport" on the car. The teardown of the car is soon to ensue. Just wanted to say hi. Looking forward to picking your minds for help and ideas. thanks in advance.
