Will this work?
I'm still trying to decide whether or not to do some major surgery to my standard and convert it to a super. I posted a while back about this, but things on my project have been on hold because of school until recently. To recap, my proposed setup includes:
rear 1. '87 944 aluminum trailing arms 2. 996 rotors and calipers (custom spacers and brackets as needed) front 1. '87 944 n/a hubs (currently with 944 bearings and spacers on CB performance spindles) 2. 996 rotors and calipers (custom spacers and brackets) I have both a '69 standard chassis and '71 SB chassis to choose from, so I could do the suspension easily (the bodywork is another story). I am wondering if this setup (924S adjustable suspension) will work with what I have so far. Assuming I can get the upper strut mounts solidly mounted, what are the pros/cons to using these struts? Any advice would be good, as I have not made up my mind to do the conversion yet, I'm just looking into it. Is this even worth considering? |
