1303 billet hood hinges

Im building a 1303 and I dont have any hinges for the front hood and they are bit hard to find down here so I thought I might try and find some billet ones, maybe some that have provision for gas struts. Does anyone know who might sell them?

I've seen some, can't remember who thou. They looked pretty trick. I'll post on here if I manage to remember.

I've seen the chrome hinges. As for gas struts I think I've got an issue of VwTrends or Hot VW's that did a feature on how to do it yourself with fairly inexpensive parts and very little work involved. Check out their sites...maybe they have it in a tech section or how to....if not I'll try to find the article and post scan it or re-type it...i've thought about myself a few times....

unless i'm mistaken, it was hot Vws that did an artical not too long ago about instaling strut supports on a ghia deck lid, not a super hood, but you can get some good ideas from it... i tried to find what issue, but i can't seem to find it if i come up with which one it is, i'll post it, and you can always look at a friend's or order a back issue from Hot vws...

Thanks for your help everyone. Im going to buy a VW Trends soon, the issue with my mates Turbo 59 bug. I havent bought a VW Trends for years. The same guy that did the story about my mates car and organised the article for VW Trends wants to do my 1302, im in process of pulling it apart to sell it now to finance my 1303 project so its not going to happen.
