Im getting all kinds of weird emails in my VKG email.
including an email that said it was from the staff@volksport.net

all of these emails have attachments that seem to be viruses.

they are viruses. we hit spammer's radar a few months back. i have spam assassin on the box, but probably need to crank it up a few notches. as for the name, spoofing is easy. you can put just about any name on an email.

keys to remember:
don't open attachments from people you don't know
always have anti-virus software on your machine and have it up to date
stay up to date on Windows Update packages
install XP SP2 if you are running XP

spam is nearly impossible to stop. some of you know who i work for and we get in excess of 1m spam messages a month that we have to filter. and dispite the amount of money and effort we throw at it we still only get about 80% of it. i FREEGIN hate spammers. there is some cool anti-spam tactics starting to surface though. spam the spammers basically.
