What Servo/Master Cylinder is the best to use on..

on a type II with Porsche Big REDS

I know a few of you think it's overkill to use Big REDS but I plan on putting a 3.6 six pot motor in my bus so I want to make sure there is enough braking power.

I've found a 964 servo + master cylinder on e-bay (picture below)
I've tried to work out in my head how best to mount it,
if I remove the bit in the Red circle should I mount it facing the back of the bus so I can make up a rod from the brake peddle or keep the bit in the Red circle so the servo faces forward ????

And what about the vacumm hose, will I lose any vacumm pressure because of the hose length? what type of hose do I use? Questions, Questions.....

I would use a hard metal line for most of the length of the vaccum line to avoid kinks and possable leaks. As far as mounting it goes I have never really seen how the bus mounts the pedals and how much room there is down there. The plus side to removing the linkage is the added room but an advantage of leaving the linkage is the ability to modify it to adjust the travel of the pedal.
