A:\520994.JPG CAN ANYONE TELL ME ABOUT THE Brazillian THAT USED THIS TYPE OF SHROUD, ARE THEY STILL MADE AND CAN YOU STILL GET PARTS SUCH AS THE FAN OR ALTERNATOR,OR ETC? SAMBA HAS SOME FOR SELL FOR TYPE 1 ENGINES. GO TO SEARCH AND TYPE SHROUD THEN ENTER. ANY INFO. WOULD BE HELPFULL!

That is a GOL shroud. I saw one tested when Jake was doing the type 1 shroud tests. It was the worst cooling system of all the ones the were tested. I saw CHT as high as 525 deg. F. The oil cooler is tiny. the gen. is the same as a type 3. It looks cool but it runs hot. It was used in a front engine car and it may need some ram air to work properly. From the data I saw I would not run one. Someone else might have more info.

I'm Glad I Asked, Thanks For The Info. You're Right They Look Good, But Looking For A Something That Works. Thanks Again

You need to be just as careful in configuring a cooling system as you are in configuring the engine you're going to place it on. Often times, "looks cook". If you want to explore cooling system alternatives, you may want to look into Jake's DTM setup; Type-1 or TypeIV.

Go to Jake's site http://www.massivetype4.com/ for pricing. I don't think he ships to Europe, but I'm pretty sure http://www.aircooled.net will. :agree:
