Sheetmetal 'nibbler'
I need to cut a piece of (thin) sheetmetal for a dash insert.
I've used a reciprocating (sp) before but that sucks. On tv (monster garage and such) I saw that they are using those electrical 'nibblers'. Any idea where to get those and if they are expensive ? Thanks, Rob. |
I have never used one of those. I have used a band saw, tin snips(they come in left, right and srtait cut), a cutting wheel in a grinder and a metal blade in a jig saw. The bad saw is the best.

Hey Rob,
I have a set of air shears which are similar to the nibbler idea, they do a great job on 18 gauge or thinner stock, and are quite fast. I got them onsale @ Princess and the quality is 'made in China' but fine for how often I use them. You're more than welcome to borrow them if you like... let me know. Cheers, Dave |
