VKG Dyno Day

Yea, you read the heading right. Thanks to Vujade, looks like we have ourselves a Dyno Day at the right place on the right weekend. We will also have a GermanLook.com Meet and Greet as a combined event. Look for all of the details here.

thats right VKG'ers... with the success of the two dyno days held in
Georgia the last two years, it was decided that we would hold out
own VKG Dyno Day this year. Some of the benefits of doing this are
it raises money for the club & helps spread the word about the German
Look and the VKG thruout the southeast and maybe even the USA.

And seeing as Zen has been planning a GermanLook.com meet & greet,
it only made sense to combine the two events together. Holding it on
Bug Jam weekend was the natural choice for many reasons.

First of all Bug Jam is the VW Classic of the southeast. There is no
other show in the country that can even come close in size and
magnitude other then the VW Classic in Cali, which is held in June.
Second, it just so happens that the largest VW Showroom in the
Southeast is in Tampa, Florida. Which just so happens to have a
chassis Dyno! Thats right folks, Fisher Buggies of Tampa, Florida
has their very own dyno. Not only have they agreed to let us use
the dyno (with their assistance of course), they have also informed
me that will have a Storewide sale on all their Volkswagen Parts!!!

I think every member of GermanLook.com should consider making this
trip if it is financially possible for them to make it.
:D

This should be a great event and a great addition to the already great Fla. Bug Jam Weekend.

I "MAY" have a line on a set of corner scales to use for the Dyno Day. I think it would be a great addition (coming from a GL club) to set up the scales so we can weigh cars for people too. I know many folks would like to know total weight and some would like to know what the 4 corners weigh so they can gauge their set up.

rustbucket April 12th 2005 08:02

I'll most likely be there. Still a little ways off, but I'm planning on it.

Don't expect much in the horsepower area though...yet. :D

NO_H2O April 12th 2005 13:35

Thats ok. We will need all hands on deck (club members) to run the event and keep it going smooth.

Speed Dreamer April 13th 2005 09:08

I'll be going also. Hey guys, I'm going to the North vs South, this weekend in NC. too!

yea, we did fail to point that out prior. we would of course appreciate all of the help we can get in running things for the day. we will firm up areas that need to be covered and volunteers between now and then.
