Racelook???
hey Racelook i was wondering why the hydraulic hand brake?
Also got any details on the routing for those lines and how they are incorperated into the stock brake line configuration? thanks Rip |
I think you have put on an wrong button, because on this way you opened an new topic, but I don't give a ... so I will answer here.
Why? Because I have plans in my head to drive some historic rallys over a year or 4, and on this way I can make handbrake-curvers easier  and I'm now busy so I thought I made it now on it. (ff in het Nederlands voor de duidelijkheid. Ik heb t er nu opgemaakt omdat ik toch al alles uit elkaar heb liggen nu en er nu mooi en goed bij kan.) WIebrand p.s. I don't have any pics of the routing to the handbrake.. but hopefully this will come in a week or 3. I'm now making my chassis ready for paint and just before I paint it, I make the brakelines on the exact lenght. |
thanks, yea i didn't want to impose on your updating post.
but thanks i was searching last night for it but couldn't find much. typed in "rally" and got a lot more info. thanks again |
I can say for you; There's almost no info for hydraulic handbrakes (especially how to make the brakelines).

yeah, i was looking to see how the handbrake lines were routed.
I beleive that you route the "stock" rear brake line into the reservoir side of the hand brake m/c. This way when the hand brake is "off" the fluid simply runs through the hand brake. But when activated the hand brake m/c piston will close off the reservoir side and begin to pressurize the rear brake on it's own. is this right? Thanks |
Yes total right
