924 rear arms
Are the 924 rear diagonal arms directly interchangeable onto beetle irs back ends? Also are the CV's on them the fabled 930cv that off-road people need cos of extra travel/angle?
Has anyone any pictures of what one looks like. I'm more interested in steel ones rather than alu ones as the application is for off-road use, i.e. strength is v important. 2 924's have just turned up in my local breakers and bits are going chea. |
I'm willing to bet the CV's aren't 930s but I bet they are equal to a T2 cv. Do you think the steel arms are stronger than the ally ones? Those ally ones seem beefy.

Is it the 924S or 931 (924 Turbo)? If not, the parts are crap for our uses.

 They had an "S" and a turbo version of the 924??? I don't think I've ever seen one. I rarely see even a 944 turbo anymore.

early (70's) 924 = Bug steel trailing arm and Bus CV joint [same as the 181 "Thing/Trekker"]
late (80's) 924 = 944 aluminum trailing arm and CV joint ['86-'88 944] |
