Vented Gas Cap-Amendment. NEW INFO!
 

I recent ly refered to an article posted by Superman in the SuperBeetlesOnly website.

After doing a little research and making a few calls I found this link:

Turns out that this same gas cap is indeed at Autozone, but they had it listed under the part# 6819 and not 11819. This is no surprise as serial #'s sometimes change to accomodate new items in inventory. The old part#11819 is now a radiator cap. Stant may still have it listed as this number as well as other retail autoparts stores, but AutoZone has it as 6819. Just a heads up it sells for $6.99.

Might be worth checking out if they have a locking version.
