alt conv. question.. (clearance problems)
 

I recently converted my bus to alternator and plan on driving it while I work on the super. I have one problem. After installing the stand, alternator, and shroud I can't mount the carb. It seems the alt. has pulled the shroud forward just enough to hit the carb. How do I solve this? The coolinf fan is turning freely and doesn't seem to be binding up but the car will noy even go onto the intake.

What can I do??

We've had a few cars recently that we converted to an alt. and we had a problem with the carb hitting the alt. we just made a spacer. but I've never heard of that happening.
