When does 944 type 1 change to type 2 regarding brakes

Found the answer at my local porsche dealer, and the hub apparently changes in mid 86.

in 86

they have a late style hub and spindle -bigger bearings

-but still use the iron caliper

-but the disc sits over the hub
-its still a 280mm disc
