uniball setup with stabiliser bar?
I'm going to convert my IRS rear setup from the stock torsion bars to a unibal system with coilovers.
Is it a good idea to add a stabiliser bar to this setup or better not? thanks |
Hi
If select the correct spring rate, you really don't need a sway bar, except for tuning. Steve |
update ??
Hi, any update on this topic ?
I've got uni-balls on the rear of my car now with coil overs. have a bar on the rear too not driven it yet. any issues on this set up - is bar needed ? cheers, Angelo |
lots of pics please :) more different makes the better, i need to justify getting some :D also any mods needed to stiffen upper or lower mountings for the coil over.

I wil recomend it. specially if you plan to do any autocrossing.
I have coilovers rear and a 19mm bar. im upgrading to a thicker/stiffer to get bether turn in. |
I bought a 19mm Porsche 968 Clubsport sway bar to mount on my splitbus with IRS.
It's not bold on yet, but that 'll be an easy job. :D http://home.planet.nl/~schur505/A2M/504.jpghttp://home.planet.nl/~schur505/A2M/503.jpg |
