no a custom chassis is not necessary for any other engine. the reason he had to get a complete new chassis design was because he was mid mounting the engine instead of mounting in the rear...my guess...

if the guy that built it says the 1914 is 140hp...i would imagine the thing would have to rev high to make that sort of power. maybe 7-8krpm redline?

140hp out of a 1914 is a really decent effort....
