I run KYB GR-2's. On my 58 the suspension was lowered 2 'inner clicks', now it is adjusted with a combination of inner and outer splines being turned for a higher ride to accomodate my lower exhaust.

I have used the second style H/R spacers on the rear and front. They are not hub centric to the brakes but the wheels are hub centric to the spacers...I have not had any vibration problems at freeway...
