aussuper did you measure the door gaps before you removed the doors so if one side is tighter than the other you can make adjustments while the heater channels are removed .keep the pics coming:)

I,m using the 944 steal arms the only difference with beetle is drive flange size axle length and an extra bearing support .you will need the 924 turbo alloy arms they will give you the same track ...

finished clearencing for the 915 box.
torsion tubes in place 5mm needs to be removed from the inside edge
new handbrake tubes need to be made....

1971-1976 beetle weight

does anyone know the orignal weight of a beetle from the factory.I have a book about vdubs but it list 3 different weights from 820-862kgs.

locating the 915 box .its 75mm forward but what height should I go for .where it sit,s now the bottom of the gearbox is level with the gearbox forks or should I move it up higher.any ideas welcome....
