I want to use my Fuchs wheels under stock fenders. As far as I know they wont fit under the stock rear fenders with the 944 rear brakes. The car is already lowered and it looks like the tires would (on 15x6 inch et 36 Fuchs) rub on the fender lips if the track gets wider. (appr. 1 inch per side with 944 stoppers) With 7 inch wide et 23 Fuchs (or cookicutters) it is impossible. Cost factors aside that's the main reason why I'm looking to fabricate my own rear dic setup. I have acces to almost any kind of metal machining tool including CNC. İf I can find a suitable rotor from VW or an other manufacturer, I'll have my own hubs and caliper carriers(for Golf calipers) fabricated. And I'm seriosly planning to make these two parts available to all GL fans but that would take some time. A friend who manufactures aftermarket replacement drums and rotors for VW's looks forward to produce the 944 style hub and Golf caliper carriers as soon as I'm done with my setup.( And testing of course!) Any suggestions tips?
