High output coils and the voltage they claim are misleading. The coil will only produce enough voltage to jump the gap. Just because the mfg claims the coil will produce 60,000 volts does not mean the coil produces that much voltage all the time.

Some things that effect the voltage that a coil will produce are: plug gap, compression and A/F ratio.

Most engines will not make a coil produce 40,000 volts.....
