When I taken my other auto's in for inspection.. The do pop the hood.. But most are looking for Non-CARB type parts.. ie.. Rice rockets.. with many bolt-ons.. Never would have considered you suggestion due to lack of experience with the type IV.. The Cali Conversion... Can you explain a little more.. Is this the one that you buy some pamphlet.. and with aluminum pieces you redirect the air over the engine.. I am on my work pc and don't have the site handy.. (something like Next Gen..)

Can I retain any kind of heating with this conversion.. or is this a fabrication issue..

As far as Jersey.. the do look.. But mostly to see if you have an exhaust... Not missing thing.. After that its time to hit the rollers and see how you do.. The visual isn't that taken that serious.. Depends on the inspector.. But like I said they are after more of the Honda crowd..
