well i dont have tons of money to throw away but i use only redline 15w-50 and yes the oil pressure is a bit high in the morning but i have never had it idle at less than 15psi even after racing it hard at the drag strip. i am going to try a thnner oil as i hate to drive it easy until the oil pressure comes down. i have run this motor on the highway at between 4000-5000 rpms and still no problem. and never seen a drop of condensation in the filler or the breather lines. and for the oil filter thread, if the pressure is high the only thing that could say is that the filter is non restrictive because the sending unit is after the filter so if the oil pressure is kinda low then look at using a different filter to correct the problem.
