Newbie alert! Opinions on motor I've just bought (in bits)

OK, this engine was running last year and had a damaged piston, was stripped down and checked out by a well known (for type 1 motors) UK independent professional and everything else was OK. Got the motor at a bargain price by the way. Anyways, it comes with new replacement barrels & pistons (J&E) which are 103mm, new total seal rings, a 71 c/w crank, unknown aftermarket cam, ported 48x38 heads, porsche shroud cooling (unknown manufacturer), BAS exhaust, 44IDF carbs.

Now I have a couple of questions:
103's - good or bad? I've done a little research, some say theyre fine, others that they're not. Opinions?

I've built type 1 motors before, what other things should I take into consideration when building up a T4 from a pile of bits? Are there any other things to look out for.

What kind of power & torque outputs would I be looking at from this motor?
Now, what about maintenance? I'm a bit religous with my maintenance on my T1 engines, what kind of maintenance schedule would I be looking at for the above, and what kind of oil would you recommend?

Sorry for all the Q's but totally new to Type 4!

Thanks guys
jamie
