Well, that would be me..
I use the stock m/c and I have the even larger 4 pot Turbo Cup 944 brakes.
Thought that would only be one way to find out
The pedal travel is just fine, like stock. You didn't expect that one huh? Few people have actually tried this and then most people speculate and think of theories why it might not work and then if a lot of people do that, the theory almost becomes 'a known fact'
Fact is that the my front brakes now overbrake, which is not that strange.
Stranger is that people acually use the 944 m/c the way porsche mounted the brake lines in the front engined 944

the larger diameter side (21mm) to the front and the smaller diameter (19mm, also stock beatle) to the rear...That would worsen the situation IMO.
So, I still have to find the right m/c myself, but it might be a solution the reverse mount an 944 m/c or an old Audi one, as they seem to be the same (step cylinder 21/19mm) sort of...
